Stand them against a wall in their riding shoes. Slide a hardcover book between their legs, spine up, and raise it until it's snug. Measure from the floor to the top of the book.
The number that matters most

Four bikes, from a toddler's first throttle to a teenager chasing 61 km/h. Measure one number, answer two questions, and we'll match your child to the right GoBike.
01 How to measure
Inseam decides whether their feet reach the ground. Age narrows the range. Riding experience tells us whether to stay small or size up.

02
Each GoBike covers an age range: 1–5 for the 12, 4–9 for the 16, 8–13 for the 20 and 12+ for the 24. The ranges overlap on purpose, because kids grow at different speeds.
Narrows it to one or two bikes

03
A first-timer is happiest on a bike they can flat-foot. A kid who already rips around the pump track can size up and grow into it.

05 Growing up
Seat at the top, knees still bent high
The seat is at its highest setting and their legs fold up when they ride.
Knees close to the handlebars
Look from the side while they ride. If their knees come up toward the bars, the frame is too small.
High mode isn't enough any more
They live in the top speed mode and want more. The next size up has a bigger motor and battery.
Heavier than the bike is built for
The 12 and 16 carry riders up to 65 kg, the 20 up to 100 kg and the 24 up to 120 kg.

07 Sizing FAQ
Still unsure? Our team in NSW will help you choose.
Ask the GoBike teamThe GoBike 12. It's built for ages 1–5, its seat starts at 35 cm, removable training wheels come in the box, and Low mode is limited to 6 km/h while they learn.
New riders do best on the 12. If they already ride a balance bike confidently and their inseam is 44 cm or more, the 16 fits now and gives them years of growing room up to a 54 cm seat.
With your child standing against a wall in their shoes, slide a hardcover book between their legs, spine up, until it's snug. The distance from the floor to the top of the book is the inseam.
The 20 is a step up in every way: a 60–75 cm seat (vs 44–54 cm), a 1200W motor (vs 700W), a 10Ah battery (vs 5Ah), 55 km/h top speed (vs 45) and a 100 kg rider limit (vs 65 kg).
Yes. It's made for ages 12 and up through to adults, carries riders up to 120 kg and its seat adjusts from 74 to 84 cm. It's for experienced riders, not beginners.
